There is a reason the lower back tattoo is referred to as a tramp stamp.

wait till you lose some weight….. other wise when you do lose weight they might look different.

Go ahead and get them done now! I weighed about 250 when I got the ones on my upper back, and about 275 when I got the one on my lower back. I had gotten up to 315 after I had my son, and now I am down to about 210. My ink still looks awesome. You wanna stay away from arms, hips, and belly until after you’ve lost weight.
Happy inking!
VW-how the hell is that relevant to what homegirl is asking? Just FYI, I’m not a tramp. I tell you, someone famous says something in a movie, and people just take it and run with it!!!
Here are pics of my back tattoos.
(The cross I got to reward myself for losing over 100lbs.)

You dont have to wait to lose weight to get any tattoo any place you want. Im over weight and I have 6 tattoo and 2 of then are on my back. If you feel good in our own skin which you should, then do it.

If you want it, then get it!
Don’t worry about waiting until you lose weight. If you’re comfortable in your skin, then go for it!

Go for it! Stay away from areas that are most likely to gain more weight and stretch or end up having excess skin from loosing lots of weight. If anything go with your upper back first, if you are working on loosing some lbs. Your upper back wont really change and it wont effect the ink. But do you! Who cares! I would be more worried about gaining weight after a tattoo then loosing.

Bottom line is, it’s not going to matter unless you are going to keep the weight off for good. They won’t change too drastically when you gain or lose weight. As long as your have a good tattoo artist, the piece won’t be altered too much by expanding or shrinking skin. Good artists take those factors into consideration and design their pieces accordiningly!

if you are planing on loosing weight you should wait until you do so. both gaining and loosing weight can morph the tattoos and change the way they look, or make them lopsided. That is why many women wait to get any tattoo near their belly until after they have kids because once it stretches it never goes back to the way it is. Same for getting a tattoo and then loosing weight.

the reason its called a so called tramp stamp is because people are aholes! Whoever says you are a tramp based on a lower back tattoo is kinda of an idiot that is ******* air away from the rest of us people with sense in our heads!

What i did was for every 10 pounds I lost I got a part of the tatt done as a reward – kept me losing the weight and was fun to see what details i changed as new parts emerged!
