Why do people dislike lower back tattoos so much ?
CJ asked:
just curious cos every time someone asks a question about it most of the answers are about how much they **** lower back tatts . how is that any different from having a tattoo on your stomach or ankle ? its only another place to put a tattoo , people need to grow up .

They are seen as a target for guys to splooge on after they’ve been doing her doggystyle, which means the girl likes sex, which some people interpret as being ******.
That doesn’t mean that that’s what they are for, but that’s the rumor, and that’s what everyone believes. To me they aren’t any different than any other tattoo.
Plus they are extremely bandwagon right now, like people wearing fox motocross gear who have never even ridden a dirt bike.

I agree, people need to live and let live, I guess they are a bit overdone, but so is the whole ‘tramp stamp’ mentality.

They are ugly to me. My Bible tells me that any type of writing on your body is a sin.

there are two kinds of people in the world…those with tattoo’s and those who don’t have tattoos. i like to think that people with tattoo’s that like them live without regret so if this is the case who cares what people think…
Oh yeah if you’re one of those people who got a tattoo they now regret getting, ha ha, you ****! you should try living without regret

I don’t know. A lot of girls that I know have them, so I’m not really aware of the stigma against them. I love mine and so does my husband, but he was part of the process of choosing what to get and where to put it. I think it’s an attractive area for a girl to have a tattoo.

Lower back tattoos were very big about 4 or 5 years ago. It’s a really tired trend. to me a person who gets a lower back tattoo is a just a sheep-there are a million other places on the body to tattoo!

I’ve never had anyone say anything to me about my tattoos on my lower back. I have a few stars on my back and actually I get a lot of compliments about them. So, I can’t really say why you are having a problem, I don’t know what you have on your back, or how old you are as to why you seem to have this problem, but my feeling about things like tattoos and piercings are, we have made our choices to do what we want and we live with our choices. These are our bodies, our choices. Other people don’t like our choices, too bad. And by the way, I am no child, I am a middle aged woman with a pierced navel and several tattoos.

To me tramp stamp means a symmetrical tribal piece on the very lower back. The reason people get fed up with seeing them is that they are all meaningless tribal that all looks exactly the same. Then my friend got a big symmetrical tattoo on her lower back and I no way consider it a tramp stamp because it’s very different, very her, it’s a gothic style bat and jewel so it’s not the same old crap chosen off a flash sheet. Everyone liked it alot despite it’s placement. If you put alot of personality and thought into what it means to you, it’s obviously not just for fashion trend’s sake, if it’s not a fashion statement, it’s not a tramp stamp.

Because they are trendy and are usually sported by ****** girls.

because people are judgemental and rude. i constantly see people on here saying to get a tattoo in an original place really? i’m pretty sure that there are people with tattoos ALL over their bodies so there really aren’t any original places to get a tattoo unless people start growing new appendages just to get tattooed.

i agree with you on that. Most people din’t like lower back tats because its has the possibility to not be seen. Most people who do get tats want t where people can openly see it.

because people are stupid. they think that the lower back tattoo is over done, well how many people have their shoulder blade, their ankle, their hip, their calf, their arm???ITS JUST A PLACE TO PUT A TATOO PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and it is NOT a tramp stamp, so get over it!!don’t be jealous of people who have tattoos and criticize them for where they have it put!!!!

I think it’s a great place for a tattoo, becasue in professional situations where you can’t show your tattoos, it’s the easiest place to hide!
