Why do young women get tattoos on thier lower back?

I believe that they think that it is cool, **** and fashionable. Some guys like it. Me and most of my friends don’t like tattoos on girls. If ugly skanky girls have them … no big deal, we don’t look at them anyway. If a pretty girl with a **** body has them, it distracts from her beauty. IMHO

They get it there because it’s an awesome spot for a tattoo, that’s why.
I have a tat there it is a dragon for my son who was born in the year of the dragon….I have 2 kids been married for over 12 years in my early 30’s…not very promiscous is that?!
I think many ppl have tats now and you just notice that one more because jeans are so low…usually the cuter hotter girls wear the low cut jeans and therefor your friends are hoping they have liberal sexual tend…ie. maybe ‘doing’ them.

Well, if you think about it….if a woman has a child, her stomach skin can potentially stretch out or if she gains weight….her overall body may increase. Usually, the lower back or anywhere on the back does not increase drastically in size and therefore, it is a good place so that you don’t get a stretched out weird looking tattoo. The whole tramp stamp label is a made up stereotype – I’m sure that both you and I know lots of women with them that are not trampy and lots of women with them that are. If that’s how your friend determines the type of woman a person is….then she wouldn’t want to date them anyways because they’re pretty ignorant.

I cannot speak for all women, but I can say that my getting a tattoo on my lower back did not cause me to become more promiscuous or liberal with my sexuality. I wanted to memorialize my fiance when he passed away and felt that a tattoo (in memory of…) was what I wanted to do. My current beau (soon to be husband) knows why it is there, what it means and is not offended nor bothered by it. I chose my lower back because I like the small of my back and think it is an appropriate place for a tattoo. During most social situations, it can be hidden and if I choose to show it, I can reveal it without being distasteful. Besides that, our children can see the tattoo memorializing their daddy and I don’t feel like I’m being inappropriate in showing it to them.

many women with tattoos on there lower back are seen this way the tattoos are refered to as tramp stamps but most girls just like it and think its cute i am getting one in memory of my mom its a very common place for a tattoo. it doesnt mean that they are ***** they are just very typical like people who get dragon tattoos or koi tattoos or the five point stars its just something everyone likes

no, its total BS. Ive seen everyone from a doctor to a macdonalds worker with them there. NO simliarities whatsoever besides thats where they wanted their pieces. Unless it says something like insert here i think its an over generalisation to say having a back tattoo maked you a ****.
I got the first part of my back (goes upto my ribs)( a real life set of yellow/red orchids each 9 inches high) because i love how it just peaks out of my clothes and its a conversation piece because its so unusal to see the type of piece i have. Its certianly a was of gettgin attention because there will always be people asking to see it. Guess im an attention seeker for sure.

i am quite fed up with the stereotype that every woman with a lower back tattoo (tramp stamps as they jokingly call them) is sexually promiscuous and a tramp. i am not a **** by any means and neither are most of the girls i know with lower back tattoos. mine is not a tribal sign or some random butterfly. it means something very precious to me and i chose my lower back because it was a nice center of balance and i think it looks nice there.
please don’t put every woman into a clump stereotype because of her tattoos.

yes. as with anything, this is not always true. but generally speaking, yes! its the same with the hip (tramp stamp) why would you get a tattoo above your butt/crotch, when you know you are constantly going to be asked to show it, unless you actually want to? and the ones that get upset the most about it are the ones that were at the bar the nite bfore showin it to an entire football team in the VIP. i have seen it everyday for 5 years. trust me on this one.TATTOO ARTISTS OF AMERICA. Its a nice place to get one. It seems to be all ready set up for sumthing there. When I’m legally allowed to, I’m getting a butterfly their for a few reasons.. But I’m not a ****. or a tramp or anything like that. I just like the idea of being able to eternalise something that means something to you. and also the lower back is somwhere that you can look at if you try, by use of twisting, or using a mirror.. but also its not there for everyone to see, or for you to see everyday unless you want to.. some days you may not like to look at it if ur in a bad mood, so your lower back is out of the way, though if ur guna get a tatto u should be prepared that it wil be there for good.. laser treat ment its.. icky.. and the fact that that section of body more then likely wont majorly stretch..
